Rob Flaherty, the digital director for Joe Biden’s campaign, used Cameo, a service that allows people to pay celebrities to record a video message, in order to get Corey Lewandowski to offer a “pep talk.” Lewandowski was unaware that he was speaking on behalf of the Biden campaign, but was instead under the impression that he was offering words of support for “Rob’s buddy” who was only identified as “Joe.”
“Take the fight right to them… don’t let them think they’ve done something to you that bothers you,” Lewandowski can be heard saying.
The underhanded move was dropped just minutes before the first presidential debate began.
Take a look:
Since you can pay trump advisors to say anything you want on Cameo, earlier this year I paid Corey Lewandowski $50 to give a pep talk to ol' Joey. pic.twitter.com/h1wA5RsquF— Rob Flaherty (@Rob_Flaherty) September 30, 2020
